Ashfield Ward
I have been in the Ashfield community for 32 years. During this time my wife Belinda and I purchased the family farm which we still own. We had the opportunity to purchase property in the neighboring community of Lucknow, where we now reside with our four children, Brad 20, Anthony 18, Daniel 13 and Emily 11.
I have been a general contractor for 20 years and I am owner of FM Windows. I also operate and own Lake Huron Cottage Rentals with my wife. I find being a business man in the community gives me the opportunity to listen to the concerns from the lakeshore to farming community on a daily basis, this in turn allows me to bring the issues to the council table.
I have served as volunteer with the Lucknow Kinsmen Club.
Currently the chairman of the Lucknow and District Recreation Board.
Board member for the Lucknow Fire Department.
Chamber of commerce member.
OFA Member.
Consolidating our existing three Zoning By-Laws of the former three municipalities into a New Consolidated Zoning By-Law for the newly amalgamated municipality of the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
Thorough review by Council and staff to ensure that each property within the municipality is properly zoned and conforms with the new Official Plan which was recently adopted in October 2003, and to ensure that the Public has the opportunity for comments on the draft plan once completed in Draft Form.
Serving on Council for the past three years has given me the insight to further develop the Municipality in a positive direction. I care about the needs of the people and the Municipality and look forward to serve another term.
