Murray Curran

In 1996 I bought the farm I grew up on from my parents. I also got married to my wife Dana. We have raised four children and operated a mixed farm. The farm consists of cash crop and beef cow/calf. This year my son, Jaxson and I opened Huron Shores Marine & Equipment in Goderich.

I decided to run for councillor to help guide the township in a positive direction for present and future generations.

I served on council from 2010 to 2014.

Over the years I have help out at various events like Music in the Fields, Dungannon functions, Lucknow Fair, etc. I am on my second term as a director for the Lucknow District Coop. I also served as a director for a feeder finance coop.

Having been on council before I may have a slight better understanding of municipal affairs. I enjoy talking to people and trying to understand their point of view and trying to reach a suitable solution for everyone not just a chosen few.

If elected I would lobby to have council meetings return to evenings for more residents would be able to attend. As an elected official it is our duty to try and understand what is best for the township as a whole.
